To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Phantom, Rolls-Royce has revealed a highly limited Centenary Edition of the world’s most luxurious car.

Only 25 units will be produced, and all of them have already been sold. On the outside, it looks like just a current Phantom with a black and white paint job. But inside, it couldn’t be more different.

The seats, doors, and headliner are all adorned with embroidered, printed, sculpted, and laser-etched representations of significant places from the 100-year history of the Phantom.

In the back seats, there is a scene depicting the Rolls-Royce headquarters on Conduit Street, Mayfair, in 1913, along with several other “easter eggs” to be discovered by owners passionate about the history of the Phantom.

To craft the extremely detailed interior, Rolls-Royce employed several never-before-used techniques, as revealed by Matt Danton, Bespoke design manager at Rolls-Royce.

“We did a lot of research, working with our historians and archives. We uncovered some amazing stories we didn’t know about, as well as key figures within the brand,” said Danton.

“We began embellishing and building on those stories, turning them into visual elements, and we created a masterful work of art. It’s like a time capsule, traveling through 100 years and capturing pieces of history along the way.”

Under the hood, the Phantom Centenary Edition remains mechanically unchanged, but the familiar 6.75-liter V12 engine received a special cover, finished in white with 24-carat gold details.

“The Phantom Centenary is the most complex and technologically ambitious private collection ever undertaken by the designers, engineers, production specialists, and artisans of our Bespoke Collective,” said Phil Fabre de la Grange, head of Bespoke at Rolls-Royce.

“Developed over three years and more than 40,000 hours of collaborative effort, this project uses new techniques to mix metal, wood, paint, fabric, leather, and embroidery into a single, stunning composition.”

The result is a car that breaks the boundaries of a traditional luxury vehicle, standing as an excellent showcase of Rolls-Royce’s craftsmanship and attention to detail.
